Breathwork
Breathwork offers a deeply transformational physical, emotional, and spiritual experience.
The Breathwork that we will be practicing is a consciously connected breath that is activated, meaning it’s controlled and done with intention. The Breath is a two part inhale through the mouth and an exhale through the mouth. The influx of oxygen in your system has many benefits, which western science is now backing and Eastern practices date back thousands of years.
The beauty in breathwork is its ability to both anchor and stabilize your body, while at the same time shedding layers of stagnant energy, and ushering you into higher realms of consciousness spiritually. It brings you deeper into presence and Relationship with Self.

What does a session look like?
Whether in person or at home, we will spend the initial part of the session grounding into your body through guided meditation and cultivating presence with the space around you. I will guide a short embodiment practice, and we’ll have a chance to discuss your intention for the practice or anything that is prevalent in your life that you would like to release or work through in the session.
After that we’ll make sure you are comfortable and ready to settle in and then I will guide you into the activated breath. During this time I will guide you through the session, but you will find your own unique rhythm for the breath and will often find periods of non-talking where you can listen to the music and connect solely with your own breath, as you allow it to take you further into the experience and where you need to go.
During the session, if I feel you may be holding tension or having difficulty releasing in some way, I may guide you to move your body or have a somatic release that fits. Every session will look a little different because it all depends on what you are showing up with that day and what your body is telling me you need.
After the activated breath portion, we will move into an integration phase where you return to slow deep belly breaths and then your natural rhythm. This portion of the session is usually a time for emotional processing or soaking in the feeling of your “blissed out” state.
We will end the session with brief processing and some journal prompts for you to sit with and soak in on your own time.
